Every day we see first hand how this new era of spatial computing can have a positive impact on individual lives, and we want to ensure that as many people as possible have access to it. In practice that means that the products we create and the campaigns we deliver all aspire to make augmented reality affordable, lightning fast, robust, scalable and super simple to use.

Our journey

Founded within the University of Cambridge in 2011, the company has grown to over 50 full time staff. Our headquarters are in London, UK, and we also have an office in New York. We believe in fast, sustainable growth, and most importantly delivering on what we promise to our partners.

We have a dedicated learning and training budget, an internal mentoring scheme and we also run quarterly reviews focussing on development and career progression to take a wider view on your career both at Zappar and beyond.

Our culture

Our team is made up of 12 nationalities and 18 languages, and we are always looking to add more to the mix. While we’ve got a beautiful office in Chiswick, we operate a ‘work where you work best’ policy so as long as you’re in the UK, you’re welcome to work remotely. We also operate flexible start/finish times so you can have a lie in, go for a run, hang out with your kids a little bit more easily: we’re big believers in work/life balance and treating people like individuals. We get together once a week for company updates and hold random coffee groups a month so we can still have a chat as well as two parties a year in the summer and at Christmas to celebrate our achievements

Unofficially, Zappar have a dungeons and dragon club, a book club, super smash bros games nights and a fantasy football league. We’ve run a Bake Off challenge (bit more fun in the office than remotely!) and have done quizzes and Drag Queen Bingo while in lockdown.
